Hey, this is my first post from my new computer!

Ok guys, so it has ben a while. I'm sorry. My bad. Here's what I've been up to.

Nothing

ok, not really, but there has been surprisingly little. I've gone golfing quite a bit, and fishing too. Me and Will Dougherty went to Branson for a few days this week, that was pretty cool. We tore up that town. I dont think it was ready for us... But maybe next time it Will be. (Ask Will who won at putt putt)

I also went to go see Talladega Nights. If laughter really is medicine, than this was like 6 months of chemotherapy. Seriously. I eventually got tired of laughing. But then I laughed even more. I'm not joking. It was that good.

Ok so I move in 2 weeks from today, and I'm totally excited and ready to rock and roll. I think Bill is too. We're gonna be staying in room #238 of Hughes Hall. Oh yeah. We Rock.

you guys take it easy, and keep it real.

Gettin Lucky...

... In Kentucky!!!

Yeah I went to Jamey Aebersold's Summer Jazz Workshop at the University of Louisville in Kentucky this past week, and boy was it exciting. I ran into several interesting people including the former saxophone player for the Beatles (my combo teacher), Bobby Shew (famous trumpet player), the bass player from Earth Wind and Fire, and Slide Hampton (very famous trombone player). It was outstanding. I took some SWEET PICS for all of you to enjoy, so here you are!

this is our barf bag puppet that we made. the child in the background is my new pal Diego. he's a cool dude, but not half as cool as that barf bag puppet.

I took this with all of you in mind.. I just wanted you all to see for yourselves that men and women should NOT under ANY circumstances stand on opposite sides of bird baths with free floating squares over them. It is absolutely unacceptable.

Just so you know how to properly secure an infant into a floatation device. i mean, who really reads these things. especially now that they can get the highlights here on What Now. Because I'm looking out for you.

My Combo, and our instructor, Gene Walker (of the beatles)

and a cool car that i got to sit in

well kids, thats all for now. Be good, and be safe, and keep in touch!

Ups and Downs

Yeah, so this week has been really great, and really bad all at the same time. Wild? You bet.

ADVICE COLUMN

In a tight spot? You just have to keep on truckin' and hope for the best. Is that right? I'm gonna try it. I'll tell you how it works out. IOW, don't give up, but don't push it. Be careful.

I leave Saturday for Louisville, Kentucky, to get my Jazz Camp on. Its a big boy camp, but we'll see how I do. I hope to sneak over to the Louisville Slugger bat company and look around. That'd be cool. I'll get back the next Saturday, so you kids be good while I'm gone, ok?

And just for the heads up, I move to UCA on August the 20th. Only a few more weeks of living at home. Its really bittersweet. I'm not sure how the parents will take it. They crack me up... They may not be taking it too well.

Well, be safe this week, and I'll catch up when I get back. Have fun

my last day of high school

Well guys, yesterday was my very last day of school! And might I say, that it was the most awesometacular last day I could EVER ask for! I also need to add that I have the most amazing group of friends in the entire world. for serious. for starters tho, we'll move to FIRST PERIOD-- ok so we didn't do anything except watch movies on my ipod. scandalous. but after first period, we're in the hallway talking by our lockers like always right? and the POWER GOES OUT. then it comes right back on a second later, not even giving the clocks time to get off. there was a collective sigh, that was filled with the aire of "nothing exciting ever happens here." but then, it happens. the power goes out again... and it stays out!!! for almost an hour and a half! but then, it came back on, and we didn't get to leave. but it was one huge party in our high school for that almost hour and a half. so we move onto lunch: come to find out, all my friends brought me this buffet of snack foods, and basically all the mountain dew I could drink! I couldn't believe it. I almost cried, like for real. with tears. but anyway, they are the best people in the entire world. to all of you- Melanie, Kelli, Jordan, Lauren, Lauren, and Celeste-- you are the GREATEST I could ask for!!! and beyond! they not only supplied us with not-school food, but they got me a freakin present! can you believe these guys!?!?! they got me this Picture-Collage-EXTREME that will forever stand tall and proud as the coolest gift anyone has ever given me! Tears almost becoming visible, now folks. i went to fourth period and was visited by Leslie, who had a sneak-attack on getting out of her fourth period class, so it was cool to not be lonely in the bandroom like usual. mr platt wasn't there either, adding to the awesomeness. now here's the sad part. I walked out to my car, for the last time, and was met by my group of friends at my car so we can all cry and say our good-byes. it was very emotional, and I did covertly shed a few wet ones. there was quite a bit of hugging, as well. it was sad, but a great end to my last day of high school. again, I thank all of you for being the best group of friends I could ever ask for! I love all of you!

enjoy some pictures. i suggest playing a slow and emotional song while viewing

Thank you guys for everything, I love you all! ('cept bill)
