Houston Spring Break '06

yeah man i just pulled in from houston, and i gotta get on here and put up some pics. here goes.

here's minute maid park as viewed from the road.. i believe thats the right field wall side. but WHO CARES. this is obviously with the roof open. my aunt hooked us up with an AWESOME tour. take a look---

this is the field from the view of the GENERAL FREAKIN MANAGER of the Houston ASTROS private booth!!! yo man i was IN there!!!!

now, to the uneducated, this seems like a picture of me and demps in the stands.. NO! WE'RE IN GEORGE AND BARBARA BUSH'S PERSONAL SEATS !! right behind home plate in the Diamond Club area ($91,000 for your first season, $25,000 every season after, plus $245 a seat, minumum of four, for the most awesome Astros experience EVER! yeah thats BA-D!

yeah this is the view FROM INSIDE THE NET!!!!! I'M ON THE FIELD! THE ONE THE ASTROS PLAY ON! AHH!

major league style... yeah thats not just how the stros do it, its WHERE THEY DO IT! home team dugout baby!!

this is me and dempsey at the base of Tal's Hill, standing next to the longest centerfield wall in the major league. and the extra special in-play American flagpole

the view of the 40 thousand seats from the base of Tal's Hill. also is a nice view of the grass which is imported from Argentina and replaced every year and grown just for the 'stros. it is softer than my own teddy-bear blankey. and you've felt the blanky. that grass is HEAVEN

me and big d on the boardwalk at Kemah. lookin good

me and dempsey on Shell Beach by the Houston Yacht Club. much as the name depicts, the beach-- its covered in shells. and hurricane debris. found some cool stuff. so ask yourselves, did i buy your presents? interesting......

hittin huge shells on shell beach with some driftwood... heck yeah man

MY FIRST SALTWATER FISH!!!! this is a 13 inch speckled trout, which i caught on 5 foot drop with a shrimp in the GULF OF FREAKIN MEXICO!!

just for you girls-- a real live pelican. i took the liberty of giving it some bread, but it passed it up to dive bomb on a little trout. i mean it was like VVVYYYYOOOOSSSSSSHHHHHH!!!!! and then it was munchin on the trout. but yes, a pelican

lol here's the big one!!! not too shabby-- a 27 inch redfish caught around where the San Jacinto river goes into the bay near Baytown. Sweetness

well, this is just the beginning of my spring break, and its already been AWESOME! i hope you guys are having as much fun as i am, and i hope you are all safe. be good, kids!

Well, spring sprang. We've had our state of grace and our little gift of sanctioned madness, courtesy of Mother Nature. Thanks, Gaia. Much obliged. I guess it's time to get back to that daily routine of living we like to call normal.

David Assael, Northern Exposure, Spring Break, 1991

I hope that quote helps you understand how happy I am about you catching that big fish and having such a great trip.
